We Muslims, as a nation, have ambitions in this world. In western styled democracy, a drug addict‘s vote equals that of someone like Dr. Amjad Saqib, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, Dr. Javed Ghani, or Mufti Taqi Usmani.
To expect democracy to fulfill these ambitions is like eating through our noses, arguing that it is an alternative to eating through our mouths.
We are not gagged. We should either change our ambitions or go back to the system of governance that Rasulullah ﷺ left us with.
