Here is an ayah and a hadith about orphans:

“And worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, and be good to both parents and to the relative and the orphans and the destitute, and the neighbor who is a relative and the neighbor who is a stranger, and the companion at your side and the traveler in need and to those whom you rightfully possess. Indeed, Allah does not love whoever has been a self-admiring boaster” (4:36)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,” putting his index and middle fingers together. (Sahih Al Bukhari)

Alhamdolillah, for three years, my friends and I have been supporting two sets of orphans, around 150 in Quetta and around 100 in Wadh, Baluchistan. We have started building a boarding school in Wadh for these orphans and other poor children with the support of a tribal elder who has endowed 50 acres of land. Serving an area of 5,500 square km, the school will house 1,000 kids. In my years of travel and work in Baluchistan and as the director of Sahil Welfare Association, a naval institution that works in the province, I can assure you that this is a desperately needed project.

Alhamdolillah, this year we are adding 30 widow and poor families near Muslim Bagh, Baluchistan, in our program. The orphans from these families are around 50. A few days ago I took Thirty-five of my team members, clients, and friends went to Wadh to meet these kids. We stayed overnight and returned the next day.

If you are interested in joining such a trip in the future with your kids, please sign up with Mr. Faisal Abdul Aziz (0321-2750113) and we shall contact you when a program shapes up.
