The misalignment of your profession with your ultimate purpose (ultimate purpose is the reason for our existence) is like a slow-progressing deadly cancer that first affects your existential and intellectual domains and then manifests into psychological and physical symptoms. Most often, caregivers fail to connect the dots and attribute the symptoms to other causes.

Here are some symptoms:

  1. Failure to become truly happy even after engaging in activities that generally give happiness, like family picnics; time with family; and professional and personal achievements.
  2. Failure to connect with others on a deep level.
  3. A feeling of emptiness despite being wealthy or possessing material things.
  4. A deep-rooted fear of engaging in deep thought.
  5. The discomfort of being in one‘s own company.
  6. Mild to clinical depression; mild to acute anxiety with no apparent reason.
  7. Feelings of worthlessness despite being successful according to society‘s norms.

If you feel that at least 5 of the above apply to you then it is time to get a check-up. Many people can help you with this. If you don‘t know of anyone, then please send me a WhatsApp message, and I will see how I can assist you.
