A few verses of the poetry of Ahmed Faraz that I quoted have led some people to believe that I had some negative experiences in Afghanistan. On the contrary, I had a wonderful time!
I wanted to capture the current perspective of the Afghanistan government shaped by the deception after the Doha talks, the international isolation, the freezing of $ 9.5 billion of assets of the Afghan Central Bank, and so on.
The oppressive sanctions are putting the general population into inhumane suffering. Running a charitable institution providing aid for the past year, I can recount what a challenge it is for us to move assistance into Afghanistan. It is a blessing that both the Pakistan and Afghanistan governments are cooperative. Once again, please forgive me for the misunderstanding.
