Seven years ago, I consulted with Diamond Paints. We came up with a compelling purpose and a hundred-year vision. Many argue that such documentation is just paperwork. At that time, Diamond Paints was one of Pakistan’s multiple paint companies.

The company steadily grew, and we at Timelenders have a small share in this success. Today, by the grace of Allah (SWT), it is the largest paint brand in Pakistan, leaving all companies behind, including multinationals.

As I sat in Nagarkot, a hill station overlooking Everest in Nepal, Mir Shoaib Saheb, the owner, sent me a small ad last night. I went into deep thought: how a vision-oriented company can produce thoughtful, mature ads and avoid the shameless display of ladies, dance, and the like, and at the same time lead in business.

I pray to Allah (SWT) that Diamond Paints grow further, show us that ethics and morality don’t have to be compromised for business growth, and that pleasing Allah (SWT) is the best policy.

Keep up the excellent work, Diamond Paints. My hats off to Shoaib Bhai and his team!
