Loyalty demands that a favor be returned, but when—I have learnt the hard way—this violates Shariah or prudence, then you must increase the favor quietly and return it on your terms and not theirs.
I wish if I could have read the Seerah very carefully, early in life, I may have avoided a string of painful stories strewn across many lands.
