A critical workshop for parents.

Thirteen years ago, my wife and I struggled with our seven children. We researched Islamic and Western literature, attended workshops, met scholars and academics, and applied what we learned. By the grace of Allah (SWT), we started coaching other parents and sharing our insights. We have logged thousands of coaching hours for parents wanting to improve their abilities. We learned that effective parenting is about accelerating the maturity of our children. We call this strategic parenting. Maturity is the combination of core, character, and competence.

  1. Core: Ideology (the set of beliefs that a child has); ultimate purpose (the child’s understanding of the reason for his creation); ultimate vision (the child’s dream of creating a future for the world and himself); and the purpose of the vision (the child’s view of why he wants to create this future).
  2. Character: Traits such as integrity, taqwa, courage, humility, and haya (modesty).
  3. Competence: Knowledge (both religious and contemporary) and abilities (public speaking, swimming, sports, conflict resolution, etc.)

We learned that developing maturity in children requires creating it in ourselves as parents. It is challenging for immature parents to produce mature children.

In this workshop, we will share our knowledge and experience with you on the topic of strategic parenting.

We learned that the most effective tools for disciplining children are unconditional love and respect.

We also learned the art of Deep Meaningful Meetings (DMM) to create a powerful bond between ourselves and our children.

Shaikh ul Hadith Sehban Mahmood Saheb taught us that neglecting tarbiyah (rectification and nurturing) of children is one of the biggest reasons for people to enter Hellfire. Just as Salat (prayers), Fasting, and Hajj are Fardh ul Ain (an obligation), tarbiyah of children is Fardh ul Ain as well.

This workshop is a gist of our 13-year journey.

Here’s how to gauge yourself as a parent based on your score:

If your score is between 11-15, then Mashallah, you are an excellent parent! You don’t need the Strategic Parenting workshop. You should assist us in teaching this material.

If your score is between 6 and 10, then you are doing well, but I strongly advise you to take the workshop, as it will vastly improve your knowledge and skills.
If your score is between 0-5, then you desperately need this workshop and should drop everything to show up.
